Apple Imovie Update

  1. Imovie Updates For Mac

Apple has updated both iOS apps with new features, which come just one day before Apple’s new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro start landing in the hands of early adopters. IMovie has far more features being added with today’s update than GarageBand, but folks that use both apps will probably be happy enough with the bumps in version numbers.

I have a mid 2013 Mac Book Air. Initially it was registered with an Apple id which I later used. Everything was going fine, I updated from Mavericks to Yosemite and also smoothly upgraded iMovie, iWork etc. for free.

  • IMovie for iOS and iMovie for macOS are designed to work together. You can start cutting a project on your iPhone, then use AirDrop or iCloud Drive to wirelessly transfer it to your iPad. You can also send a project from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac for finishing touches like colour correction and animated maps.
  • Following the update to Final Cut Pro X, Apple has also pushed out updates for iMovie for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The iPhone and iPad version of iMovie has updated to 2.2.10, and now features three.
  • It looks like Apple is taking the casual filmmaker a little more seriously. Its latest update for iMovie for iOS - out today - comes with a new green screen effect, better still image support.

Recently, I have upgraded to El Capitan and since then I am unable to update to iMovie 10.1. The error message says 'Update Unavailable with This Apple ID'. I deleted iMovie from my Mac and tried to install it once again from App Store. But now it is asking me to pay INR 920 to purchase it. Can you please advise how I may get iMovie which I am supposed to get for free with my Mac?
