The first thing you gotta do, is to browse to “Computer”

Now, we can access the hard drive. This may be a bit different from computer to computer, but it’s basically the same setup. When you find yourself in the C: partition on your computer, browse further to programfiles. In my case, I got FL running at 32 bit (x86), so I browse to my folder called “Program Files (x86)”. Then, we go further again to a folder called “Image Line” and “FL Studio 10” or 9, 8 or 7..depends on your version. Then we go to “Plugins” and finally VST. Now we drag and drop our .dll file (the plugin) to this folder.
This is the directory our file is gonna be moved to.
Now what we need to do, is to open up FL Studio and load up our plugin, so it’s ready for use. Since I downloaded a VST and not a VSTi, I know that it’s used in the mixer. So let’s open up the mixer, and in the panel where you normally ad your plugins to the mixer, we click more.
Now, we hit the refresh button, and Fast Scan (Recommended)
Fast scan (Recommended).
Your plugin will now be listed in red writing. Make sure to tick on the F, so that it will come up in your list.
